Paul Clements Masonry Job Site 1988 L-R Bill Wilson (Foreman), John Clements (Superintendent), Paul Clements Sr, Jim Clements (Estimator) |
The names Clements and masonry have been synonymous with the word quality since 1967. Paul and John's father, Paul Sr. started his own company in 1967 after being a union mason and foreman for 14 years. Mr. Clements quickly became known as a quality contractor building many of the city's infrastructures during the late 60's and early 70's. Paul Sr.'s dedication to the industry saw him start the Kentuckiana Masonry Institute (KMI) in the 70's and was regional vice president for the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA).
It was within this framework, the high standard and dedication that Paul and John saw from their father, that their careers were being molded. The unforeseen future saw the hard working success of an entire industry in the Louisville area jolted in the late seventies, as was much of the nation. In 1982, while still operating Paul Clements Masonry, Paul Clements Sr. started a second masonry firm called Masonomics, Inc.

Enter Paul and John. Both had worked for their father over the summers growing up. With the unexpected advent of a second company Paul Jr. began working for this company while still in college. After graduating with a business degree in 1984 Paul began working full time as an estimator. John received his degree in business in 1987 and started working for Paul Clements Masonry as a field superintendent. Each son found their "niche of duty" and John soon joined Paul at Masonomics.
Thus set the infrastructure of present day Masonomics. Paul oversees the estimating, job procurement and office operations and John over sees all field operations. Both have continued with industry participation with Paul's involvement with the MCAA and John as a member of the Board of Directors of the Construction Training Institute.

John & Paul Clements |
In taking full and equal ownership of Masonomics in 1992 Paul and John have continued to remain one of the top masonry firms in the Metro Louisville area. As the company has progressed many employees remain from those early formative years and with Paul and John they are committed to provide quality masonry through trained personnel and a professional atmosphere.
